Description
Since 1724, the House of Remy Martin has been committed to one goal to become the foremost producer of Fine Champagne Cognac, made exclusively from Eaux-de-vie of the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne.
Remy Martins Fine Champagne Cognacs are double-distilled on the lees in small copper stills to produce an intense spirit with great depth and aromatic intensity. The result of these time-consuming and demanding distillation methods is an elegant Eaux-de-vie that is the Remy Martin signature style, which has the potential to age in cellars for years and even decades. For the aging, Rémy Martin uses Limousin oak casks for their Fine Champagne Eaux-de-vie. There, the blended eaux-de-vie gets a careful yet substantial exposure to the air inside the cellar, and this imparts a rich vanilla flavour to the cognac.
Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is an exceptionally smooth product of Remy Martin’s signature style. Its rich history begins with royal approval: in 1738, King Louis XV granted Rémy Martin the right to expand his vineyards, at a time of land scarcity. As homage to this ultimate royal recognition, Cellar Master Georges Clot in 1997 decided to create an exceptionally oaky and smooth cognac honoring the early craftsmanship spirit of the house. Hence, in 1738 Accord Royal was born.
Aged up to 20 years in French oak casks, 1738 Accord Royal is a well-balanced and smooth cognac from the two finest quality vineyards of Cognac. A round and mellow cognac with oaky notes of butterscotch and spices, this unique blend has been made with majesty very much in mind. Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, with dark chocolate on the side, or in classic cocktails.
